The calendar says we've had autumn for a few day now, but Mother Nature says "NO!", I'm keeping summer for a few more days.  Today is the 5th day over 90 degrees, here in Lake Geneva.  We may have one more, tomorrow, too.  This makes up for the cool August we've had.  Worry not, fall fans!  We'll be back to your normal weather by Wednesday.

It may not say it on your calendar, or...if your a member of the weather community...it does.  Today, March 1st, is the beginning of meteorological spring.  Just as the calendar has four seasons, so do meteorologists.  Spring begins on March 1st, summer:  June 1, Fall:  September 1st & winter starts on the 1st of December.  So...Happy Spring!

Today, we learned of the passing of actor Bill Paxton.  Among his many movie credits, the weather community will remember him as Bill Hardon in the movie Twister.  He passed away today, at the age of 61, from complications during surgery.  We'll miss The Extreme.
